1. Introduction

Welcome to Efiko Learning. Efiko Learning is an online educational platform designed to provide engaging, culturally relevant learning experiences for children and young learners, particularly those of African descent in the global diaspora.

By accessing, registering for, or subscribing to Efiko Learning services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms govern your use of the Efiko Learning platform, including subscription plans, tutor sessions, cancellations, payments, and platform policies.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Efiko Learning platform.

Efiko Learning reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Efiko Learning website and will take effect immediately upon publication.


2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

Parents or legal guardians must create and manage accounts for students under the age of 18yrs

By registering for Efiko Learning, you confirm that:

  1. The information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
  3. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

Efiko Learning reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.


3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Efiko Learning offers flexible subscription plans designed to support different learning needs.

Available Plans

Subscription options may include:

  1. Weekly plans
  2. Monthly plans
  3. Annual plans

Each plan provides access to scheduled learning sessions and other platform services depending on the selected package.

Billing Authorization

By subscribing to Efiko Learning, you authorize the platform to charge the payment method on file for the selected subscription plan.

Auto-Renewal

All subscription plans automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the required notice period.

Cancellation of a subscription will stop future billing but does not automatically refund the current billing period, unless eligible under the Refund Policy.


4. Cancellation Policy

Efiko Learning allows subscription cancellation with advance notice.

Notice Period Requirements:

Plan Type Required Cancellation Notice
Weekly Plan At least a week before next billing
Monthly Plan At least 30 days before next billing
Annual Plan At least 30 days before renewal

Cancellation Processing

  1. Cancellation requests must be submitted through the Efiko Learning cancellation process.
  2. Efiko Learning may request completion of a Cancellation Questionnaire to help improve services.
  3. Requests are reviewed within 48 hours, and confirmation is typically sent within 72 hours.

Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current billing cycle.


5. Student Attendance and No-Show Policy

Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions on time.

If a student fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice:

  1. The session will be considered used.
  2. The class fee remains chargeable.

Rescheduling or credits for missed sessions may only be granted in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Efiko Learning.


6. Tutor Availability and No-Show Policy

Efiko Learning works with carefully vetted tutors to ensure consistent quality instruction.

If a tutor cannot attend a scheduled class:

Efiko Learning will:

  1. Notify the student or parent as soon as possible.
  2. Attempt to assign a qualified standby tutor.
  3. Offer a rescheduled session if a replacement tutor is unavailable.


Where a class cannot be delivered due to tutor unavailability, Efiko Learning may offer:

  1. A make-up session,
  2. Account credit, or
  3. A pro-rated refund.


7. Rescheduling Policy

Students may request to reschedule classes under the following conditions:

  1. Requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class.
  2. Short-notice rescheduling requests are subject to tutor availability and platform discretion.

Repeated rescheduling may result in scheduling limitations.


8. Refund Policy

Efiko Learning aims to provide fair and transparent refund practices.

Refunds may be issued in the following situations:

  1. Tutor no-show where no replacement session is provided.
  2. Significant technical failures on the Efiko platform
  3. Duplicate or erroneous billing

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during subscription.

In some cases, Efiko Learning may offer non-transferable platform credits toward future classes instead of monetary refunds.


9. Tutor Replacement

Efiko Learning maintains a network of qualified tutors.

If a regular tutor becomes unavailable:

  1. A standby tutor may be assigned based on subject expertise and availability.
  2. Students or parents will be notified in advance whenever possible.
  3. If the replacement is not suitable, a rescheduling option may be offered.


10. Platform Conduct

Users agree to maintain respectful and appropriate conduct during all Efiko Learning sessions.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  1. Harassment or disrespect toward tutors or staff
  2. Disruptive behavior during learning sessions
  3. Recording sessions without permission
  4. Misuse of the platform

Efiko Learning reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these standards.


11. Data Collection and Privacy

Efiko Learning collects and processes user information in order to:

  1. Deliver learning services
  2. Manage scheduling and tutoring assignments.
  3. Improve platform performance and educational quality.

All personal data is handled in accordance with the Efiko Learning Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.


12. Limitation of Liability

Efiko Learning provides educational services on a best-effort basis.

While we strive to maintain high-quality instruction and platform reliability, Efiko Learning is not liable for:

  1. Indirect or incidental damage arising from platform use.
  2. Interruptions caused by internet connectivity issues outside the platform’s control.
  3. Outcomes related to student academic performance.


13. Dispute Resolution

Any concerns regarding billing, cancellations, or services should first be submitted to Efiko Learning support. Disputes may be submitted by contacting: support@efikolearning.com

Efiko Learning will respond within 2 business days or less and make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter.


14. Changes to Terms

Efiko Learning reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions periodically.

The most current version will always be available on the Efiko Learning website and will serve as the authoritative version. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
